What was it like opening a small business?

Exciting and fearful at the same time! To leave an eighteen-year career and become my own boss was exciting. I now had the ability to make all decisions, own all my actions, and the results of those actions. The freedom of owning a small business is very rewarding. All these components that make owning a business exciting also create some fear and stress. As a small business owner, I am responsible for making payroll, paying bills, growing the business, and all the behind-the-scenes things that drive those. I would not change anything because the excitement and rewards far outweigh the fear. 

Any advice for a new or aspiring small business owner?

Go all in! Make sure you develop intent for every action you do, even down to your freedom away from the business.
